"First Information Network Meeting Teachers4Europe Secondary Education Thessaly in Larissa"
On Wednesday 20/12/2017 afternoon held in Larissa, in Courtroom of Thessaly, and with the support of the Region of Thessaly and the Regional Development Fund of Thessaly, as part of the Center of European Information actions - Europe Direct Thessaly, the first face to face meeting of teachers of Secondary Teachers4Europe Thessaly Network, organized by the responsible Teachers4Europe Ambassadors, Royal Voulgaris, IT teacher 9th Gymnasium Volos and Gkoutsioukosta Zisoula, philologist 2nd General Lyceum Farsalon.
The school year has started strongly for the network Teachers4Europe Thessaly, which welcomed within the new teachers, selected for the school year 2017 -2018, across Thessaly.
The Teachers4Europe network is a network of teachers, which develops and grows year by year, which was created by the European Commission Representation in Greece, in collaboration with the Educational Broadcasting Y.P.E.TH. and Education Policy Lab, research, Development and university cooperation (ERDIC) the Department of Piraeus University of International and European Studies and the European Parliament Office in Greece support, to inform the educational community on issues of European affairs, developments and prospects and cultivating European idea.
The event highlighted the educational objectives of the program and were given detailed instructions for implementing actions under Teachers4Europe. An electronic work platform, educational material including proposed web useful material about the European Union. Alongside, good practices discussed in the action, through the use of modern teaching methods and New Technologies. Teachers had the opportunity to learn about current developments in the EU. and the priorities set specifically for the field of education. The meeting ended with a presentation of European Information Centers, by the representative of Europe Direct Thessaly, K. Socrates Golden and distribution of information material.
