H Region of Thessaly and the European Center Information Region of Thessaly Europe Direct invite you to watch the online theme presentation "From the farm to the plate – We eat smart without putting on weight health - environment" which will take place on Wednesday, April 21 2021 and time 12.00-13.30.

The basics will be presented characteristics of the EU strategy "from farm to plate" where pursues:

  • 50% reduction in the use of chemical pesticides and the risk associated with them and by 50 % of their use of more dangerous pesticides by 2030;
  • reducing nutrient losses at least by 50%, while ensuring that there will be no degradation of it soil fertility. In this way, the use of fertilizers will be reduced by at least 20 % by 2030;
  • 50% reduction in antimicrobial sales medicines for farmed animals and aquaculture by 2030;
  • increase in organic farming areas up to 25 % of agricultural land up to 2030.
