In the crowded hall of Magnesia Chamber held Monday 13 February with great success Starting Up in Volos within the first Roadshow of Innovation & entrepreneurship, which was organized with the support of the European Commission Representation and the Greek Association of Young Entrepreneurs (ESYNE), and local levels of Thessaly, Regional Development Fund and Europe Direct Thessaly .

Mr.. Orestis Matsoukas - President of the Greek Association of Young Entrepreneurs and founder of Orama Group coordinated a combined discussion on "Applying Innovation Entrepreneurship and the European Funding – Local innovation and education ".
Aim first Starting up is to detect the needs that exist in each region and identify what interests and implement innovation even in existing businesses, focusing on flexibility, overcoming the crisis and growth through new innovative ideas,. So the second Road show to follow, will continue with targeted entrepreneurship workshops.
The discussion was attended by representatives of business, and academic institutions :
Mr.. Aristotle Basdanis -President of Magnesia Chamber,
Mr.. Golden Socrates, partner of Europe Direct Thessaly,
Mr.. Vlachakis Gregory – President ESYNE Thessaly,
Ms. Golden Laspidou – Associate Professor Department of Civil Engineering, University of Thessaly.
Mr.. George Stamboulis – Head of Educational Programs of carpet Thessaly University and faculty member of the TWG and the University of Thessaly
Mr.. Harry Smantzis – Work Market Manager & Career Counseling, University of Thessaly.

During the discussion it was stressed:
– support of Thessaly through the regional governor Mr.. Kon / nou Purchaser in new business activities.
– the European Union support through the European Information Centre EUROPE DIRECT and various financial instruments and programs (Juncker package, , IORIZON program 2020, program "ERASMUS FOR YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS" ) and
– The importance of "Branding" for the development of the local economy, new entrepreneurship and research.

Future entrepreneurs had the opportunity to learn and gain experience of distinguished people of their kind.
