A great partnership Observatory Society Thessaly Citizens ,of the Region of Thessaly and the University of Thessaly.
The result of the organization of the 6th Conference of Voluntary Organizations of Thessaly was very positive. ,on Saturday , 15 Of March 2014 at the IMPERIAL LARISSAS Hotel with title :”THESSALIA - EUROPE 2014-2024 : Local Government ,Social Economy and Development - Social Economy Support Structures in the Region - The Role of Cultural Heritage in the Development Dynamics of Thessaly” ,with the presence of hundreds of delegates from Thessaly and the neighboring Regions.
It is noted that this important Conference was co-organized by the Observatory of Civil Society Organizations of Thessaly ,the Thessaly Region ,the P.E. Larissa ,University of Thessaly (Vice Chancellor of Innovation, Extroversion ),with the cooperation of the Panhellenic Observatory and the European Information Center EUROPE DIRECT of the Thessaly Region.

It is worth noting that at the Congress that had international interest , topics were analyzed in depth ,such as : Planning of Culture - Tourism and innovation in Local Government, The role of cultural heritage in the Development Dynamics of Thessaly-Local Government, Social Economy and Europe-CREATIVE EUROPE-HORIZON 2020-Social Economy Institutions and Applications-Primary Sector Entrepreneurship-Young Entrepreneurship-Good Practices- CounSEp-Local Self-Government: Dynamic training of candidates in business tools: Management - Innovation - Extroversion.
According to Local Government Cooperation & Civil Society
The big conclusion reached is the necessary utilization of the Social Capital and the close cooperation between the Social Partners for the development of the Social Economy which in Europe has a growth rate 10% ,while in Greece only 1.5%. In this way the municipality will be utilized ,but also the state property that remains unused ,the social services provided by the Municipalities to the Citizens will be improved ,quality products will be produced and the problem of unemployment will be addressed ,especially young people ,in local communities and cumulatively at the Panhellenic level.
It is a bet that local communities, through synergies ,they can ,but also due ,to conquer ,for’ that over there ,already ,the signing of Cooperation Agreements of the Observatory of Thessaly and innovative Municipalities from all over Thessaly has begun.
Thessaly can win the bet of development
End, the Thessaly Observatory believes that Thessaly ,through the development of the primary sector ,of the manufacturing process , the creation of tourist infrastructure and proper promotion of the Branding of the place ,of claiming European resources and Programs, of intercultural cooperation ,of innovation and extroversion ,can win the development bet.
