IV European Development Forum of Thessaly

Europe Direct Region of Thessaly actively supports the IV European Development Forum Thessaly, which will take place on 28 and 29 April 2026 at Divani Palace hotel in Larissa.

The Forum is an important initiative of the newspaper "Eleftheria" and the Region Thessaly, aspiring to highlight the role of the region in the European developmental becoming, as well as to enhance the public debate around critical economic issues, innovation and sustainable development.

In context of the Forum's work will be attended by prominent political figures and public life, including the Minister of Economy and Finance and President of the Eurogroup, K. Kyriakos Pierrakakis, as well as the Minister of Agriculture Development and Food, former Vice-President of the European Commission, K. Margaritis Schinas.

Europe Direct Region of Thessaly, as part of its mission to inform of citizens and strengthening the European dimension at regional level, supports actions that promote cooperation, knowledge sharing and dialogue on the future of Europe and its regions.

The presence and public participation in the work of the Forum contributes significantly to empowerment of the local community and in the formation of a sustainable development model for Thessaly.
