"Empowering women and entrance into the labor market"

 

The region of Thessaly and the Regional Development Fund of Thessaly, in the framework of the actions of the European Information Center - "Europe Direct" of the Region of Thessaly in collaboration with the Women's Center of Karditsa and the Community Center with a Roma branch of the Municipality of Karditsa organized the event "Women's Empowerment and Entry into the Labor Market" which took place on Thursday 16 May 2019 to 10:00 am. in the hall of EB in Karditsa.

The member of the project team of the European Information Center "Europe Direct" of the Region of Thessaly, Ms. Katsiakou Fotini, He raised the possibility provided by the center, to all citizens, to obtain information, advice and answers to questions about the institutions, legislation, policies and EU programs.

Ms. Helen Angelaki Head of KPA2 Karditsa referred to redefine the business model of OAED.

Then the officers of the Women's Center of Karditsa Mrs. Ioannidou and Mrs. Chaido Karageorgou Konstantinia informed the public about the economic independence of women, a road to the exit from violence. The responsible European University of Thessaly programs Mr. Charalambos Samantzis presented the European programs for the empowerment of women and their access to the labor market.

Mr. Papakostas Chrysovalantis strain Community Center with Annex Roma in the municipality of Karditsa, reported on women's support services and promoting employment.

The event was greeted by Mr.. Spiros Lappas, SYRIZA MP Karditsa, the Mayor of Karditsa. Fotis Alexakis, Ms Salvation Bakalaki, President of KIC, Mr.. Papanouskas Michael, Director of Secondary Education Regional Unity Karditsa, Mr.. Giannelos Kleomenes, former President KIC, Ms Tsirogianni fanny, President Municipal utilities of mouzaki (DI.K.E.DI.M), Mr.. Apostolis Commander, President of WTO_OTA employees of Karditsa.

The event was also attended by Mr.. Bellis Claus, Director General of the Development Karditsa and Mrs. Athena Petsas, Director of Social Protection, Education, Culture Municipality Karditsas.

The event was moderated by Director of KIC, Ms Catherine Velesiotou.
