European Health Insurance Card: to always travel safely

H EHIC is a free card that provides access to medically necessary, state care during your temporary stay in one of the 28 EU countries, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland, under the same conditions and the same cost (in some countries, free) with the insured in this country.

The cards issued by your national health insurance provider.

What is not covered;

The card only covers medical care which becomes necessary during a stay in another EU country. Therefore, the card is not a substitute for travel insurance, not cover your expenses if you are traveling specifically to receive medical care and does not guarantee the free provision of services.
