“School gardens all around Europe”

PRIMARY SCHOOL OF AGIA stir

From the 1-5 April 2019 held at the Primary School of Agia Anavra the meeting of the European Partners (Spain, Italy, Latvia and Portugal), of the "Erasmus +" program with the support of the Region of Thessaly , of the Regional Development Fund of the Region of Thessaly in the framework of the actions of the European Information Center Europe Direct of the Region of Thessaly and the Municipality of Agia.

The first work day was the reception of European partners in Elementary School Anavra Larisa, a visit to the primary school of Anavra, evaluation of school school garden, Chrysalis meeting in the municipality of Agia room on the progress of the program followed a visit and tour of the castle of Velika and walk on the beach Agiokampos.

The second work day was the visit to the monastery of St. John the Baptist in the East Agia and the seed bank which has. Followed by a tour in the premises of the monastery of the Abbess. The purpose of the visit was to know how to create a bank of seeds for school garden program.

On the third day work originally was a visit to the theme Antiperifereiarchi Mr.. Billi Apostle, in Thessaly Regional Development Fund and the Region of Thessaly European Information Center EUROPE DIRECT on Papanastasiou street where there was a presentation of the functioning and the utilitarian role of the Information Center by the Director of PET and head of the Center Mr.. Chatzikamagianni Claus. This was followed by a visit to Mr. Antiperifereiarchi. Papadimopoulo Dimitri in the field of new facilities of the Region of Thessaly.

After a visit to the town hall of Larissa and tour of the city of Larissa. Followed by visit to the plant production department of the University of Thessaly Department (former TEI) Guided by Prof.. Papahatzi Alexander and visit Timeless Museum of Larissa and guided by the director Mrs. Stavroula Sdrolia.

On the fourth business day excursion took the holy rocks of Meteora and guided by a responsible monastery Transfiguration of the Savior, known as the Great Meteor.

The fifth business day study visit took place in a greenhouse seedlings in order to update for mass production seedlings at all stages of responsible agronomist. Followed by a visit to the monument to the fallen peasant tenants Kileler, visit to the port of Volos and the meeting ended with the provision of a meal with local products at the Primary School of Anavra made by the families of the students of the school and the awarding of certificates of participation in the program.
