On Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 December in Volos Palace Hotel from 10am will be held an event entitled "Sustainable development- Alternative tourism- Social economy". The event is organized by the Region of Thessaly , Regional Development Fund, The European Information Center for the Region of Thessaly Europe Direct, the EE. Magnesia and Sporades , The Pelion Development Company, The 2/Germal Culture Body and the Network of Sciences "PERRAVIA" and the Network of Volunteer Organizations of Thessaly , With the support and full collaboration of the Hotel Chamber of Greece.
The Congress is intended to highlight Thessaly and especially Magnesia and Pelion , as a favorite destination for Alternative and quality tourism, high standards , since there are all those possibilities for’ this, within ,nevertheless, specific policies.

For this reason, all interested parties have been called or involved with alternative tourism ,from Greece ,and all Thessaly (hoteliers , alternative tourism companies, carriers ,Associations, chambers, cooperatives, young businessmen, Museums et al.) , to take part in this , either by presenting their actions ,or participating in policy making for the next day , through their contributions to the Congress.
Important rapporteurs ( university ,people tourism , Experts in promoting tourism products in the world market, institutional factors and experienced and knowledgeable representatives of Civil Society ) ,present the modern trends of the world market in the dynamic sector of alternative tourism.
Conference themes include very interesting suggestions ,As for 1.branding place, the targeting policies,2. bodies and tourist packages, 3. funding tools and 4. Presentation for existing alternative tourism in Magnesia and Thessaly.

It is noted that, Beyond the very important suggestions , Special Counseling Laboratories will be organized within the Conference , such as : 1. For networking of bodies with each other and creating tourist packages, 2. social entrepreneurship in alternative tourism ,3. the opportunities of funding and integration into development programs and 4. Networking of Thessaly Mountaineering Associations .
It is worth noting that delegates will have the opportunity to be informed about alternative tourism companies and to get to know unique local products from women's cooperatives and local producers, who will expose and offer their products .

End, within the celebration of the World Day Mountain ( Sunday 11 December. 2016) will be organized in the mountain ,in cooperation with alternative tourism companies and other collective Bodies , so that individuals can experience the magic of “Mountain of Centaurs”.
