Educational meeting Teachers4Europe Thessaly Secondary Education
H to the European Commission Representation in Greece in cooperation with the Educational Broadcasting of Y.P.E.TH. and Education Policy Lab, research, Development and university cooperation (ERDIC) the Department of Piraeus University of International and European Studies and the European Parliament Office in support Greece has undertaken important work to create a human network of secondary school teachers, which will have the necessary knowledge and ability to commune their students in the appropriate manner issues relating to European affairs, developments and prospects.
A new school year has started for Teachers4Europe network, which grows year by year. Last year for the first time welcomed the family of Secondary Education this year identified the first Ambassadors - Ambassadors Teachers4Europe Secondary Education by the European Commission. For Thessaly set the awarded Teachers4Europe Vaso Voulgaris, IT teacher 9th Gymnasium Volos and Zisoula Gkoutsioukosta, philologist 2nd General Lyceum Farsalon, which they were trained in a two-day training, held at the University of Piraeus 29 & 30 October 2016.
On Thursday 24 November 2016 Ambassadors held from the first educational meeting of old and new candidate Teachers4Europe Thessaly Secondary Education in Second Chance School of Volos, with the support of the Region of Thessaly and the Regional Development Fund Region of Thessaly, as part of the European Information Centre actions – "Europe Direct Thessaly".
The event highlighted the educational objectives of the program and were given detailed instructions for the implementation of actions under Teachers4Europe. Presented in detail the electronic work platform, The educational material includes useful online material about the European Union. Alongside, good practices discussed in the action, through the use of modern teaching methods and New Technologies. Follow experiential workshop by the Head of the Office of Secondary Education School Activities / unloading Magnesia, Ms.. Kiki Daniilidou about creating groups and the strengthening of relations between the members of. The educational meeting concluded with the presentation of the European Information Centre, by the representative of Europe Direct Thessaly, K. Socrates Golden and distribution of information material.
The event welcomed the Head MD. Magnesia Mr.. Socrates Savelidis, who among other things said: "The Secondary Education Magnesia strongly supports educational projects with a European orientation which encourage active participation & awareness of students and promote the connection of the school with modern society. In this direction works and the training program Teachers4Europe, contributing to the culture of the European Idea, promoting intercultural communication and harmonious coexistence of the European peoples ". The meeting was also attended: the Director of the Second Chance School Mr.. KATELA Vigklas and the Director of the 9th Gymnasium Volos Mr.. Angelopoulos Nikolaos.
Actions under the Network T4E start with new impetus for creation and imagination. The first students enrolled in the program had the opportunity to learn about the EU, the challenges and opportunities of the modern European project, They had the opportunity to build new skills and pleasure to gain new experiences and to disperse throughout the school community. The Teachers4Europe family and welcomes new students will join the project that will run this school year, welcomes tomorrow's active citizens of Europe!
