Successfully completed the event held Tuesday 07/05/2019 Farsalon Cultural Center on the occasion of Europe Day and the upcoming European elections, on "This time I vote for ..." which was organized by the Region of Thessaly, Region Thessaly Regional Development Fund, in the framework of the actions of the European Information Center Europe Direct of the Region of Thessaly and in collaboration with 2The Lyceum Farsalon.
2nd Lyceum students presented to the public some of the creative and innovative activities implemented during the current school year in the framework of the European programs "e-Twinning" and "School Ambassadors of the European Parliament" focusing on the need for active democratic participation.
The event was greeted by the President of the Regional Council of Thessaly, Mr. Gregory Papacharalambous and the President of the Secondary School Committee of the Municipality of Farsala, Mrs Panayotopoulos Sunday. The European Information Center was represented by members of the project team Ms. Fotini Katsiakou & Ms. Zoe Giouroukos. In Ms. Zoe Giouroukos then spoke about the role and activities of the European Information Centers. The keynote speaker of the event was Professor of European Law of the University of Thessaly Department of Finance, Mr. Andreas Stergiou, who spoke about the role and functioning of the European Parliament and for the process and the importance of European elections. The event was attended by the president of the Association of Parents, lady Sourlas, and many teachers and students from the 2nd High School and 2nd High School Farsalon.
The program "School Parliament ambassadors" actively following the teachers 2th GEL Farsalon : Vaios Karakontakis Director, Zisoula Gkoutsioukosta philologist, e-Twinning Ambassador Larissa and Magnesia, Joanna Vontsa mathematician, Helen Magaliou biologist, Light Koutsopoulou sociologist and Royal Samarina English teacher.
